Port Chalmers, yesterday. Arrived—Barques Thurso and Laiara ; both from Mauritius.
Auckland, Tuesday. Sailed—Southern Cross, at 6 15 p.m., for Gisborne.
At 8 o’clock lest evening the barque Wave Qaeen weighed anchor and having a favorable breeeesbe was soon wall dear of the land.
The schooner Waiapu called North st fl last evening. The cutler Venus sailed for the coast last night, for a load of posts. The b.b. Southern Cross arrives from northern ports this at ernoon. She is advertised to leave for N pi <r at 5, The s.s. Te Anau I nves Auckland at noon to-day, and reaches here about 1 o’clock tomorrow. The outward passengers leave the wharf at 5.
The e.s. Australia is due here early tomorrow morning, from Wellington and Napier.
The s.s. Ohau is expected to reach here on Friday.
