A young boy employed at the Theatre des Celestins at Lyons took it into his head to see the Paris Exhibition." He had plenty of energy, hut very little money. Ha set out on foot from Lyons on the 10th of July at IQ o'clock ia the morning, and nine days afterwards, at half past 2 p.m., he arrived at Paris (320 miles). He had Ils in his pocket on leaving home, but he had to economise his funds, and by sleeping in barns and living on bread, milk, and lard, he managed to reduce his expenses to about 3s. He spent a month and ten days at Paris, three'daye in the sveefe he gave up to work, and the fourth to ape ths Exhibition and the town. On the 23th of August, at five in the morning, he set out on the return journey. He kept up the distanoa of 55 kilometres a day, and arrived at home vn the 4 h dep'.einher. He saint bn the return journey about 3s fid. Mid brought baoh 5s HJ.
