ITO THE EBSToa-1 S»,—lt will doubtless interest your numerous readers to know that we have received information hy last mall from our Mew York office that it is now possible to reach New York from San Francisco in the short time of 110 hours. There is a through car every day from San Francisco to Chicago. This may be useful to travellers, as it is the fastest time that has yet been made across America, making another step towards shortening the journey between Australasia and England.—Fours, Ao., Tuas.
