The U S.S. Company's Arawata came into the bey shortly after 6 o’clock on Saturday tuning - from Auckland. Passengers : Hrs Haisman and two sons, Mrs Kiehardson, Misses Bradley (2), Jones, and Hais man, Messrs Good, Aislabie, Bradley and family (31. Chrisp, Hepburn, Loudon, Clarke, Pollen, Carroll, and Huisman. The Union Company’s s.s. Wairarapa arrived in the roadstead on Sunday morning, from Melbourne via Southern ports, passengers—From Dnnedin : Mesdamus Walters and Bowler, Mire B Rosie and Watt, Mr F. Faram ; from Lyttelton: Mr and. Mrs Seymour and child, Mr and Mrs Finn and child, Miss Andrews, Mr Cockburn ; from Wellington : Miss Priston, Messrs A. Dearing, George, Tucker, and Johnson; from Napier : Mrs Neal, Mrs Clarebut and two children. Miss Hill, Messrs J. Loeffer, Douglas, W. Robinson, Foster, and Carmichael.
DEPARTURES. The ia Arawata went on South shortly krter arrival on Saturday night, taking : Bfesdamea Herbert, Craig, Adeane, Chrisp. Woon, and Mitchell, Father McMann, Messrs Patterson, Chrisp, Hutchinson, Mouat, W. Miller, Bourne, Greene, Nisbett. Mwyer, Richardson, Leslie, W. Derery, Shrimpton, Byrne, Brown, Nicol). Little, Constable Hansen, and eight Maoris. The b.B. Wairarapa reauued her pa»aage North on Sunday. Faasengers : Miss .Robertson, Messrs DeLautour, Connolly, Smith, and Bogers. The s.s. Australia continued her voyage North on Sunday morning, The s.s. Southern Cress, having d'.s charged her cargo, proceeded on to Napier at midday on Sunday, taking : Mr Brown, and two prisoners.
