Serious Bush Fires
[BBOU OCR OWN COBBHSBONDSST.j New Plymouth, last night, Large fires are raging for a distance of dO mileethrough the bush district lying between New Plymouth and Te Boti. New Plymouth is enveloped in smoke, and a heavy south westerly gale is blowing. Several settlers have bean burnt out near the Junction Road and the town of Inglewood is in danger. The Waiongara Railway Bridge caught fire, but the railway employees suooeeded in ex tinguiatiing the flames.
