Arrived—Ship M. E. Watson, from Melbourne. Sailed—Ship Carluh Castle, for Queenstown or Falmouth. Sailed—s.p. Kahu, for Chatham Island*. Spit. Tuesday. Sailed—Ashlelgh Brook, for We’ ington, Port Chalmers, Tuesday. Sailed—Barque Laira. for London. Tnuau, last nigh*. Arrived—Ship Elderslie, from Oamaru.
The Ellis Company’s steamer Dramatic will most probably cal’ in at this port on her paeeage south rest week. The s. s. Australia is expected to arriv? here on Friday afternoon from the north. She is advertised to steam for Napier and Wellington at 5. To-morrow afternoon the Union s.s. Company’s Te Ansn, from Sydney and Auckland, arrives in the bay. She resumes her passage south in the evening, the last launch, conveying passengers, leaving J he ehnre at 5. The s.s. Southern Cross arrives here early to-morrow morning from South.
