BIR HENRY PARKES REFUSES THE CHAIRMANSHIP.
Melbourne, Feb. 6. Sir Henry Parkes persists in his refusal to accept the Chairmanship of the Federation Conference. Mr Gillies, the Victorian Premier, will therefore preside. A decision has not yet been strived at as to whether representatives of the Press will be admitted.
