Reynolds’ Burlesque Company.

A BIG OPENING NIGHT. There wan a very large attndanca at th Theatre Royal last night, when Reynold? Australian Amazons’ Burlesque Compan; gave their opening performance, and full; bore out the high reputation which ha< preceded their arrival. For a variet; entertainment the performers give a capita evening’s amusement, the jokes being cris! and fresh, and much above the hackneye] stuff in shows that attempt the minstrel business. Space prevents a full criticism this morning, but it may be enough to aai that last night’s entertainment sparkled witt mirth, that there w&s little to be dissatisfiec with and much clever acting, and that tht company have hit the popular taste it Gisborne. The Misses Annie and Amj Vaughan and Lit th Daisy were the favorite* of the audience, being specially singled out in the general applause. The comic farce •• Jam ! Jam J” (composed by Mias Amy Vaughan) completed the programme, and created roars of laughter. The company perform again this evening, which is announced as the last opportunity there will be of witnessing the performance in Gisborne. A complete change of programme ii promised.
