The U.S.B. Company’s Tarawera, from Melbourne via southern ports, arrived here on Sundsv morning. Passengers: Mrs Wilcox and infant, Misses Evans, Rosie, and Dowling, Messrs Palariet, Parnell, Lnnn, MoCready. Fai**, Sheen, Evans, Lysnar, Williams, and 12 steerage. The OS.B, Company’s cargo steamer Orowaiti came into port on Sunday morning, from Westport. She brings a cargo of coals for the ship Turakina. DEPARTURES. The s.s. Tarawera resumed her passage north on Sundav, taking Mrs Ellis, Messrs Blade, Wyatt, Ward, and Judge Conolly and Secretary. IMPORTS. Per Tarawera—2 rams, Sunderland, 1 case, Clothing Factory; 1 cask, 1 pci. Wingate, Bnrns and Co.; 4 cases, Pitt and Maguire; 2 cases, Graham, Pitt and Bennett, 18 lengths pipe, Brown and Smaill; 4 pkgs. S bags lime. 2 cases acid, Nelson Bros. ; 6 cases fruit, Madame DeCosta; 1 ease, G reenwood ; 23 pkgs, 11 I cases tea. 11 coils rop°. 4 boxes raisins, 1 truss. 4 cases, orders; 13 casks ale, Dunlop and Bourke.

The steamer Tarawera brought the following transhipments, ex Merope:—2 cases, 2 hales, Townley; 9 rolls, order. Ex Rua. pehn:— 2cases, 5 i casks whisky, Dunlop and Bourke ; 200 casks cement, Harbor Board ; 1 case, order. Ex Peri: —3o firkins. 1 cose, 8 casks, F. Hall; 2 cases nails. 20 reels wire, 2 cases. 20 cases currants, 32 cases stout, orders. Ex Janet Court: —ls4 bdls wire, 4 octaves mm, orders. The Southern Cross last week brought 4 bales paper and 1 case, ex ship Pleiades, at Auckland, for Mr F. Hall.
