At Bathurst, in N.S.W., on Friday night a railway tram broke away, and before warning could be conveyed it collided with another train, making a terrible wreck. Michael Downey, Mr Franklin, and Henry O'Connor were killed, and Misses Godfrey and Maud Rudford were injured. The South Australian general election returns are now complete. The New Assembly consists of $4 members, only 28 of whom are recognised supporters of Mr Playford, Premier, Not a single Freetrader was returned.
