BISHOP AT ETIQUETTE.
It io really time that a * Book of Etiquette * for the special use of Bishops should bo pnbs lished. According to a Church newspaper that prides itself on its exceptional knowledge of such matters, it aasms, for example, that many of our Anglican prelates ere hopelessly at sea as to'how, when, and whore'to put on their mitres; and still more prevalent, it would appear, io tha epiocopal ignorance as to what I may call the etiquette of the oroxhirj Quite recently, we are told, a Bishop, instead of carrying his croxler himsslt when giving the benediction, actually handed it to his chaplain I Nor is this the worst there is to tell; for now some ill-advised people are positively proposing to present a oroxlsr to the Bishop of Beading, whereas, to pat it in the words of an indignant contemporary, * it ie vary doubtful indeed whether what is called a Suffragan-Bishtm ie entitled to the use of a orozisr.' Aft tide-is very shocking, and I tremble to tbfak iralht may be tbe con'esquenoes if a rnsro AtoipHnt-Blshop actually gals tbe pastoral staff tothe uie ol which fail title is very doubtiuU|
