COOK COUNTY COUNCIL. -VTOTICE is hereby given that this Council * will proceed by Special Order, on the 20th June, 1890, to make a Special Rate of One Penny in the Pousd on all rateable property within a special district bounded towards the south by the Wairoa Road and the Waihau No. I Block, towards the west and north generally by the Hangaroa River, towards the east by Section 2, Block 12„ Hangaroa Survey District, and Section 47, Block XVI, Hangaroa Survey District.
The Rate to be current from the Ist day of July, 1890, until the 30th June, 1916, and to be due and payable in two equal instalments on the first day of February and the first day of July in each year. The rate is levied for the purpose of providing interest upon a sum of £4BO to be obtained in term, of the Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886, 1889, for the purpose of constructing the roads in the Hangaroa and Tiniroto Districts. This Special Order will also pledge as security the thirds of deferred payments and perpetual lease rents of the land fund, accruing due within this Special District.
