Mr Punch has offered to back the American oarsman O’Connor for the Sculling Championship, for a stake of a-side, and wager of Kemp’s party are agreeable to these terms. The Sydney Wharf Laborers’ Union have issued an appeal to the various Unions throughout Australia for support in the event of any struggle taking place with employers. The London Board of the Bank of New Zealand have decided to await the arrival of Mr Hean before deciding upon the future management. A general meeting of shareholders will then be convened. Mr Hean will arrive in London on the 23rd of June. Old shares are quoted at from ,£3 10s to 10s, and new issue from tos to £fi 10s.
