Mr Alexander, who went to America to organise a Wild West Show for Wirth Bros, returned by the Mariposa. The show follows in next steamer. Tho Maritime Council have derided not to strike over the Whitcombe and Tombs question, but tho firm’s goods will be boycotted by the Trades Unions all over the colony. Mr Gillies has resigned the secretaryship of the Dunedtn Harbor Board. Walton is still missing from Woodville, and a search in the Gorgo revealed traces of him. It is feared he has met with foul pl»y.
