EALED TENDERS will be received at the Chief Post Office, Gisborne, until SATURDAY, 4th October, 1890, for the conveyance of Mails between the undermentioned places, for a period of two years, from the Ist January, 1891, to the 31st December, 1892. Postal District of Gisborne. 1. Gisborne and Muriwai, via Te Aral Bridge, thrice weekly. 2. Gisborne and Ormond, via Makaraka, daily. 3. Gisborne and Patutahi, via Matawhero, thrice weekly. 4. Gisborne and Port Awanui, via Coast Post Offices, weekly 5. Gisborne and Waimata Valley, weekly. 6. Gisborne and Wairca, via Tiniroto and Frasertown, weekly. 7. Gisborne and Whatatntu, via Te Karaka, weekly. 8. Gisborne Post Office, Wharf, and Breakwater, as required. 9. Port Awanui and Hick’s Bay, via Rangitukia and Te Araroa, fortnightly. 10. Port Awanui and Raukokore, via Rangitukia, Te Araroa, and Hick's Bay, fortnightly] 11. Hick's Bay and Raukokore, via Whangaparoa, fortnightly. The attention of intending tenderers is directed to the terms and conditions of contract printed at the back cf the tender forms, and more especially to Clauses Nos. 6,9, 10, 11, 15, 17, and 19. Contractors whose tenders may be accepted must be prepared to carry out the services for which they tender according to time-tables framed by the department. Forms of tender, with the terms and conditions of contract, may be procured at any post office. No tender will be considered unless made on the printed foim.
