A special general meeting of the Auckland Law Society was held last week, for the purpose of enquiring into the conduct of Thomas Mace Humphreys, solicitor, in connection with a bill of costs rendered'by hinf to Mr, H. G, Myer, and with the evidence given in the action of Meyer v Humphreys, brought against Mr. Humphreys in the Supreme Court. A letter from Mr Humphreys resigning his membership from the Auckland Law Society, was read, and the matter was herefore not proceeded with, Mr Humnhreyi - (ring no longer a member of the society.
