Bankrupt Lawyers.
THOSE UNSENTIMENTAL NAPIER CREDITORS. [STANDARD SPECIAL COBRHiPONDSNT.] Napier, last night. A meeting of the creditors cf Willoughby Brassey, bankrupt, was held this morning. The bankrupt was not present, and had not filed a statement of liabilities and assets. Mr Cresswell appeared for him. The following creditors were presentßhodes, .£lO 5s ; Stock, £3B; Herman, £5 4s fid; Lewis, .£5 5s ; Cooper, J21114s fid. The following resolutions were carried unanimously That legal- advice be taken at once to ascertain if there are sufficient grounds for prosecuting the bankrupt, and if such opinion is favorab'e the creditors here assembled be liable pro rata for the costs of such prosecution. That the bankrupt's furniture be realised without delay. Thp meeting adjourned till Monday. The bankrupt is in Wellington, but is expected to be present at the adjourned meeting.
