Seme splendid gallops were done at Flemington this morning. Don Giovan and Singapore were dispatched before daylight, lhe latter having the best of a mile and half gallop, run in 2.47. Tarcoola shaped badly, taking 2.22 to get over a mile and a quarter. Carrington went a mile and a half io 253 J. At tbe cod of a mile and a half gallop Titan, Piinoe OCnsort, Sir William, and Taniallon finished in that order, the time ot the loader being 2.48. Prince Consort, however, showed to much better advantage. T. Payne's pah Grcstord and Prelude did the satno distance in 2 504. Gibraltar strode along beautifully over the 11 miio in company with Papua, in 2 21£. Carbine could have run clear away irom Megaphone at any portion of the one mile and a half, That distance Champion covered comfortably in 2 51. Pygmalion has hardened in the batting market for the Caulfield Cup ; 100 to 14 is now the beet offer about him. Vengeance was backed last night to win several thousands, and at the finish ho was quoted at 100 to 7. At Caulfield to-day Leopold badly beat Cuirassier in a mile and a-half gallop, and the -former executed the distance in 2 49. pulling up slightly dotty in his forelegs. Little Bernie and Maggie tried conclusions over the mile and a-balf, the former reaching home in front in 2 50. Kangaroo covered a similar distance, with a good weight up, in 2.51, while Whimberel, who also had a heavy weight up, put a mile behind him in 1.50. Churchill and Ivy had u spin for a mile and a quarter, but lhe former proved too much for the miu’e,
