Arrival of Mr Kelly.

ENTHUSIASTIC MEETING OF HIS SUPPORTERS.

Mb Kelly arrived via the Coast on Tuesday evening, and later on a meeting of leading supporters was he'd. This meeting had been called at short notice, and many were unable to be present owing to prior engagements, but 28 or more were present. There was a general discussion concerning the electioneering campaign and there was a unanimity of opinion expressed in regard to upholding the candidature of Mr Kelly. A smaller Committee was appointed us an executive, and a very hopeful tone prevailed. Mr Kelly was present and joined in the conversation, those who had not previously known that gentleman being at once impressed with his indivi duality. He does not intend to palter with the electors, and sets to work with energy. He speaks at McFarlane’s Hall this evening, at Makaraka to morrow nigh', at Ormond on Saturday night, and at Patutahi on Monday night. He has a mind of his own and would scorn the idea of playing the waiting game that his opponent is working ou. He has decided views to give expression to and can laugh at the “ sail trimmers."
