Bill, I think it would be well if people Who write to the Press should properly understood tba qoaation before penning misleading tettoM. Mr Kelly has been unjustly held up to obloquy by the Conservative side io Poverty Bay tor supporting ths Bi'l. Now, Mr Kelly distinctly staled he was in favor of the preterit adnoaUonal system. at lhe same time staling that ba voted for Mr Pyke's Bill, the eSect of Which would simply be that private scbools Would be subject to Government inspection; if coming op co the required standard of education they would be entitled to only oneh* f of ths Government subsidy, thereby (a«ing the country a considerable sum of money per annum and not interfering with or injuring toe pressnt system io any way.—l bm, ttoi, A.
