The rowing match between Kemp and McLean, for the championship, resulted in an easy victory for McLean. A foul was Claimed by Kemp, but dizaliowed. Kemp is dissatisfied, and wants to row for a stake increased by any time after April.

A railway contractor, Mr Amos, is suing the N.S.W. Government for on disputed contract matters. A tj-year-old youth at Dubbo, Victoria, has been charged with daring attempts at arson, and also with putting poison in people’s food.
