On Sunday evening the yacht Arolf left Gisborne for Napier, with Mr Solvandei’ in charge. Messrs L. Rees, Staite, and Branson also went. Tho little vessel would havp a rough passage down.
The Kumara Times says that a terrific cyclone passed a mile and a half to the westward of that town on a recent afternoon. Those who were in the vlciniiy speak of the wi d roaring like thunder and carrying before it, in a narrow track scarcely a chain wide, the largest trees iu the bgsh. The track of the cyclone is said to be as plain as though an army had been at Work cutting a road through ihe forest.
