More Trouble at Opotiki.

’Special to Stamdabd] Opotiki, yesterday. A further developme .c in connection with the Wills trouble has taken piece. W. B> Wyatt horsewhipped the Rev, T. J. Wills for what he deemed a slanderous attack upon his (Wyatt's) father. The alleged slander was contained in writings in the local Press. Wyatt was bailed out by the Bev. A. 0. Soucar and Mr B. Wright. A great deal cl feeling has been aroused over the matter, and Mr Wyatt has many sympathisers.

Young Wyatt was for some time in Gits borne, and had gone over to mt it hie friends about Christmas. Hie father ie the schoolmaster (at present an invalid) whose cause was taken up by Mr Bates, of the Opotiki Herald, in which lhe comments am made tbat are now tbe subject ot a criminal libel action. Tbe Rev Mr Boutar was formerly incumbent at Opotiki. Mr Wright ie tbeaoh* in-law of Mr Wyatt, sen.
