Hack Races.
[to the editor.J Sir,—A considerable number of the public were very much surprised to find the horse “ Privateer,” well known as a racehorse (and which had previously ran in the County B:akes), running and winning the Hack Hurdles on Tuesday, On enquiry the wiper was informed that the horse was aimittable by some new rule of the powers that be in racing circles, but it seems very hard lines on anyone who thinks be has gat a hack that can race, and after taking a lot of trouble with it, finds himself, or his horse, opposed to any number of wall known raoHhcrsea. If this is racing law, surely it should be made public, sod 1 trust Home ot the numerous seciccaries at racing clubs in this little district will supply the jnforma r ion,—l um, etc,, FXfft PlilT.
