The Hapara Fete.
The annual garden fete in connection with the Church of England ia to be held at the Hapara to morrow afternoon and evening, Mr Gold-Smith having again kindly allowed bis choice grounds to be used for ihe occasion. The garden fete has now been held during eo many years, and each year with increasing success, that it is by many looked forward to with pleasurable feelings months beforehand. Last year a ead occurrence which is still green in the memory led to a poet ponement, but when ihe gathering was he'd it was very successful. Among the attrac tions this year will be a costume cricket match and other games and sports. The Garrison Band has kindly promised to attend, and with such arrangements there to be a very large gathering. Tea will be la a nt half five, and in the evening there wnl be a display of fireworks. Free vehicles vtiil be available as usual.
