A letter has been receivft by Government, from Miss Ormerod, a celebrated entomologist, giving l warning of an attack in Cape Colony of moth catrrpi liars. Mies Ormerod is afraid that it is ihe *’ flour moth,” which is a great scourge. It is steadily spreading, and reached Oauadu last year, At the inquest in reference io the child murder at Christchurch, the jury found the two female prisoners guilty of wilful murder, in which verdict the coroner concurred. The Magis'eria! enquiry was adj urned till this morning. Duiing Mr Beeihatu’s summing up in the case, when r peaking of the male prisoner, Sarah Flanagan created a scene, crying out that her father knew nothing of it. Constable Flanagan will be released from custody.
