Ormond School Picnic.

[own cobbbspondest.J The children attending this school had their annual picnic on Friday. The day as regards Weather was everything that eould be desired, and permitted of the contesting of a large number of events. About 150 children were present, who wnh their parents, and visitors, made a total of about 300 to be catered for. The commissariat, however, bore the strain right gallantly, as there was enough for Mbrybody, and something left. The place chosen to hold the picnic—Mr Gordon’s paddock—could not have been beaten, as it offers every convenience, wi h the advantage Of filing handy to the school. Where everyone worked so well to make the picnic a BUO<I- IS it woo d seem invidious to single any Out tor special mention, but the,services of Mr and Mrs A. M. Newman and Mr and Mrs Gordon cannot be overlooked, as lhey were indefatigable in th-ir exertions to make all comfortable and happy, and on breaking up in the evening those present shouted th-ir jppreoialion by cheering lustily for them. Mr Walters, who took upon himself the arduous duty of collecting the stuff and delivering it at the paddock, had hie hands toil for a time, and great credit is due tor the success which attended his every side was heard nothing but al satisfaction was felt it of lhe day’s outing.
