A Popular Wedding.

Tub first wedding in the new Wesleyan Church look place under peculiarly happy auspices. The union was that of Mr S tdgwick (of Melbourne) to Miss Jenny Spence. The Ohurch was crowded. The service was conducted by the Rev. J. Ward, the bridesmaids being Miss M. Spence (the bride’s sister) and Miss E. Jones (a cousin). The bride was given away by her father, Mr A. Spence, and Mr Ford acted as best man, A choral service was rendered, and after the service had been concluded several presentations were made to the bride. Ou behalf of the Trustees of the church Mr East presented a Bible (with hymn-book), for the Choir Mist Lewis presented a double jam dish set in silver, for the teachers of the Sunday-school Mr Birch presented an eightday clock, and tor the Mutual Improvement Society Mies H. Jones presented an album with floral design. The pathway from the brougham to the ohurch door had matting laid, and as the happy couple left the church they had to encounter a plentiful sprinkling of rice,
