SHIPPING.

ARRIVALS. The Union Company's coastal steamer Southern Cross came into port early yesterday morning, from Wellington and Napier, bringing—Mrs Bryant and child, Butler, Sinz and three children ; Messrs Greenup, Miller, Pickering, Loogdill, McLean, Bryant, Wi Pere. Jordan, Andrews, Hooper (2), Stuckey, Butler, and one native. DEPARTURES. The Southern Cross eteamed on North yesterday morning. TELEGRAPHIC. Wblliscton, Thursday. Sailed —R M.S. Doric, at 6 p.m., for Plymouth via Rio de Janeiro. Auckland, yesterday. Sailed—Hauroto, at 11.30 p.m., for Gisborne. The following passengers are booked to leave by the Australia :—Rev. Mr and Mrs Gardiner, Mies Johnstone, Mr Dunn, and one Maori. The Union Company’s steamer Hauroto left Auckland at 1 30 o’clock yesterday, and arrives in the bay about the same hour today. She goes on South in the evening, the last launch leaving the shore at 5. The steamer Duke of Sutherland shipped at this port 2 436 carcases of mutton valued at £1,552, and the steamer Eangatira took away -1,227 carcases of sheep, and 908 lambs, valued at £6,090. Shortly after 5 o’clock last evening the Union Company’s steamer Mampouri, left Wellington for Sydney, via Northern ports. She calls in at Napier this afternoon, arriving here at daylight to-morrow morning. The last launch goes off at 8, after which the Manapouri will steam on to Auckland and BuSK'l.
