The Union Company’s steamer Australia arrived here on Saturday morning, from Auckland, via East Coast ports, bringing : Misees Dorswell (2), Williams, Rowley, Mr C. Hansen and three Maories. The Union Company’s steamer Hauroto came into port at 6 o’clock on Saturday evening from Sydney, Auckland, and Bussell, Passengers Mr and Mrs McHardy, Mr and Misses Arden (2), Misses Webbly and Sharp, Mrs Hannah, Adjutant and Mrs Bishop, Messrs J. Hurse, Seth Smith, J. Browne, F. Watson, Matawhea, and W. Brett. The Union Company’s steamer Manapouri arrived in the bay on Sunday morning, from Melbourne via Southern ports, bringing Meedames Mason, Bruce, Ltblar, Townley, Wilson, Cbri.-p and child, Egan, and MeKay. Mis.-es Loveday, Tod 1, and Large, Mr and Mrs Herman, Messr Watson, Hume, Kenny, Lucas, Walker, Pellerby Mason, A. F. Kennedy, Hanson, Litblar, Brings, J. Cuff, Naphtali, Myer*, Arundel, Morgan, Brown, Larbec, Hanser, Hamilton, and 7 natives.
Last evening the schooner Opotiki arrived in port, from Napier. She brings a cargo of timber and posts for Clayton and Sawyer, and a buggy consigned to Mr Bryant, DEPARTURES. The Australia steamed on to Napier about 3 o'clock on Saturday afternoon, taking — Miss Johnson, Messrs Dunn, Stevens, E. Kays, Grange, Lee Fong, and one native. The steamer Hauroto resumed her voyage Soatn shortly after 8 o'clock on Saturday night. Passengers: Mr and Mrs Gardiner and servant, Mrs Burgess and child, Mrs Chud ley and child, Miss Cannon, Rev. Mr Beecroft, and Mr Parnell. The steamer Manapouri went on to Auckland on Sunday morning, taking— Mrs Archibald, Misses Voake and Staite, Rev. Father Kehoe, Messrs Madder, Hayes, J. Johnston, Archibald, MacMahon and staff. IMPORTS. Per Southern Cross-4 cases, Pitt and M*gnire; 1 box (ex Tongariro). 2 cases, 79 pkgs, 60 boxes soap, 5 cases whisky.Common, Shelton and Co.; 40 | boxes soap, Adair ; 11 pkgs, 15 cases, Kennedy and Evans; 5 casks, I*, and M. A. Co.; 1 pkg, Morgan ; 5 pkgs, Townley ; 16 pkgs, Sandlant Bros. EXPORTS. Per Southern Cross—34 sacks grass seed, L. and M.A, Co. Auckland, yesterday. Arrived—Southern Cross, at 6 a.m. yesterday, from Gisborne. Arrived—Manapouri, at 9.45 a.m., from Gisborne. Bluff, yesterday, Arrived—Wairarapa, at 5.45 a.m., from Hobart.
The steamer Australia does not leave Wellington till noon to-morrow. She is, however, expected to reach this port on Friday morning. The steamer Southern Cross leaves Auckland at 5 o'clock this evening, arriving here on Thursday night.
