Hospital Trustees.
As ordinary meeting of ths Trustees was held at the Hospital last night. Present t Captain Tucker (Chairman), and Messrs Hepburn, Tuohy, Watson, Lucas, Nolanj and Dr Innes. The monthly report showed that 18 patients had been treated in tho institution, 8 of whom had been discharged relieved, 2 died, 10 had been admitted, and there now remained 8.
The Treasurer reported a credit balance of £173 9s Id. Accounts amounting to £93 3s Gi were passed for payment. A.n application was made on behalf of the Charitable Aid Board for the admission of Mrs Clark to the Hospital. The Secretary of the Board stated the circumstances which led up to the application, and informed tho Trustees that Mrs Clark was willing to hand over to the Board the control of her property, tho Outimated income from which would bo about 6a a week, after interest end other charges hid been paid. If necessary the Board would supplement the amount to make up the foe usually payable. The Visiting Committee made an adverse report on the application, and alluded to ths rules, which precluded the admission of incurable or ehronio patients. Dr Innes, on being asked for his opinion, replied that the case was incurable, and was one that did not require special medical treatment.
Mr Nolan proposed and Mr Watson seconded that the Trustees regret that the rules prevent tho reception of any chronic cases.
The Visiting Committee appointed for the ensuing month were the Chairman and Mr Nolan.
