A Bough Trip.

At 7.30 on Sunday evening the locallyowned cutter Venus arrived in pure from Napier, after an exceptionally rough passage. She left the Spit on Wednesday morning, and on getting clear of the heads she encountered a very severe gale, which increased in violence when the vessel was off Portland Island on Friday morning.
