A Local Prospecting Party.
Anything that may poeaibly conduce to the advancement and prosperity of tl)e district must be bailed with satisfaction, betrad it is with pleasure that we record the feet that a prospecting party started for the badk country this morning. They take their departure from Patutahi under the leadership of Mr Joseph Price, who is familiar with the portion of the country to be prospected, and is sanguine of finding at least traces of the precious metal. Mr Please is the business manager tor the syndicate composing the prospecting party.
