The Regatta.
Th& Regatta Committee met last night at the Argyll Hotel, and highly favorable reports were presented. The Garrison Baud offered their services for the day, and it was decided to accept the offer with thank?, also giving a donation of £2 2s to the Band funds. The Committee then allotted the prizes, as follows :—
Yachts and Fishing Boats—lst £7, 2nd £3 Bailing Boats, 18ft and under—£2 10a Senior Gigs, four oar, inrig, string test~l&t £lO, 2nd £5 Gigs, four oar, under lOst— £s Four Oar open to junior Clubs—£2 Maiden Four Oara—£s Whaleboats—lst £lO, 2nd £5 Champion Sculling Race—Trophy (£7 7a) Sculling Rae?, under 10st—£2 2e Whaleboats (for Clubs only)—£s Ladies’ Four Oars—£2 Sculling Race, in punts—£l Boys’ Canoe Raou—£l Gieasy Boom—£l Pleasure Boats, four oar—£2 It was decided that 2=< 6J each be charged for tickets for the excursions in the Snark and Tuna, The Committee meet again on Friday eight, to arrange the order of programme? I
