ARRIVALS. The Union Company’s steamer Southern Cross, from Auckland via way ports, arrived in the bay shortly after 3 o’clock on Thursday afternoon. Passengers •: Messrs Foley, Levinshon, Tomlin, Shields and boy. The Union Company’s steamer Australia came into port early yesterday morning, from Wellington and Nap.er. Passengers : Miss Maunsell, Hon. J. B. White, Messrs Nichol, Dunk, Fordham, Mullens, Ross, Duncan (2), Casson, O’Driscoll, and Anderson. The small coastal steamer Fanny arrived from Napier at 5 o’clock on Thursday afternoon, and was brought into the river and berthed alongside the wharf, where she discharged her cargo. The Union Company s steamer Wairarapa arrived in the roadstead at 1 o’clock yesterday, from Auckland. Passengers : Misses Kennedy (2), Atkins and barman, Messrs G R. Bloomfield, Hostering, Brown, Meldrum, Wallace, McDonald, and Fitz - patrick. DEPARTURES. The Southern Cross steamed on to Napier on Thursday night. Passengers : Mrs Thaxter, and Mr J. Barry. The steamer Australia loft for coast ports and Auckland at 8 30 yesterday morning- , . r . The s.s. Fanny returned to Napier at a o’clock last evening. The topsail schooner Awaroa has sailed for Napier. The steamer Wairarapa left for Southern ports and Melbourne shortly after 8 o’clock last night, taking—Mr and Mrs Matthews, Mrs Pavitt, Miss Black, Garbatt, Messrs Rollingson, Stoddart, O’Lary, R. Lord, Reynolds, Shackloch, DeLautour, Moore, J. Burko, F. Bell, Anderson and three natives. IMPORTS.
