Farmers’ Co-operative Association.

PROPOSED AMALGAMATION WITH WILLIAMS & KETTLE, [special to thb standard.] Napier, last night. A meeting of shareholders of the Hawke’s Bay Farmers’ Co-operative Association was held to-day, to elect directors and auditors. The following were elected directors:—Messrs 0. Brown, J. Bennett, A. McLean, W, A, Cooper, M. B. Millar, J. Chambers, junr., Alfred Dillon, B. D. D. McLean, John Anderson, Phillip Dalbell, Maurice Mason, Joseph Rhodes, Hugh McLean, Ohas. Fitzroy, and Charles Oranby. The election of auditors resulted in the appointment of Messrs Samuel Williams and James Sidey A letter was received from Messrs F. W. Williams and Kettle, stating that they were floating their business into a limited liability company, with a capital of £100,090, to be worked on co-operative principles, and it having been suggested that they should amalgamate with the Farmers’ Association, they bad written laying proposals before the shareholders tor consideration. It was decided, after oontidcrable discussion, to refer the matter to tffe directors. It was also decided that the remuneration of Directors be one guinea each meeting,
