In the first place all cus omers have tbe advantage of a Cash system, which enables them to make purchases without having to pay for the rcmissness of “ long-winded ” customers. Tbe general public thus have a great inducement. Shareholder* have the additional inducement that they participate in an annual division of profits, which is made pri rata on the purchases, the largest purchaser having hie share based on hie purchases, while each shareholder also has the benefit of his capital account according to the number of shares held by him. Tbe Association disposes of all classes of goods in the Produce and Grocery lines, and has ihe same advantages in buying as the large wholesale houses, as it has the privilege of co-operating with the flourishing Southern Associations.
