EXPECTED ARRIVALS.
The Union Company’s steamer Janet Nicool leaves Dunedin on Thursday next, Oamaru and Timaru the two following days, and arrives in Gisborne via Napier on or about Wednesday the 27th,
Owing to the extremely heavy weather outside, the Australia, which arrived on Saturday afternoon, did not leave Gisborne till about 2 o’clock on Sunday, having been in shelter under Young Nick’s Head till that time. Only about four tons of cargo was landed from the Australia. There was only o few parcels landed from the Mana pouri on Sunday. The Waihora was a little more fortunate, having landed all her cargo. The following is a list of the Australia’s cargo for Gisborne part of which was landed on Sunday last: —lB half-boxes soap, Dunlop and Bourke; 7 cases, Williams and Kettle ; 1 case, Garrett; 1 sack oysters, Mrs Shaw; 10 cases, C. Lewis; 20 spools wire, 2 cases, 112 bags sugar, 1 pel, Common, Shelton and Co.; 33 bars, 6 pkgs, Wingate, Burns and Co.; 1 case, 1 pci, Devery j, 3 trusses, TownIcy 1 case, Mrs Ledger ; 2 cases, 1 truss, Pettie and Harper; 3 cases, Colebrook; 1 truss, Whinray; 1 sack oysters, How Chow.
