Agricultural and Pastoral Society.

A Meeting of the Committee of the above Society was held at the Masonic Hotel on,Saturday afternoon, Mr G. L. Sunderland being in the chair. The Secretary, Mr Boylan, read the minutes of the previous meeting, after which Mr Sunderland proposed and Mr W. W. Smith seconded that a Show be held about the end of October or beginning of November. He thought the actual date should be fixed by the new Committee, and added that to his motion.—Mr Donner also supported the ipotion, which was carried unanimously.—Jt was decided to hold the general meeting on the last Saturday in August, the horse parade to be at noon on the same day. Other general business was dealt with, and the meeting closed. The proposal to hold a Show is meeting with general favor, and there is every reason to believe that it will he very successful,
