At the last annual general meeting of the English Bagby Union, at which about 150 delegates attended, the rules of scoring were again altered. It was decided that Law 7 should read as follows ; —A match shall he decided by a majority of pointe ; a try shall count one point; a goal, however obtained, except from a penalty kick, two points, to be added to the try ; and a goal from s penalty kick shall count one point,” It was also decided to alter rule 12 to read :—" A player when on side may take up the ball at any time, except in a scrummage.” Tbe Te Auto College tootbsll team propose leaving on their Southern tour at the end of this month. It is probable that the flrat match will be played at Christchurch, against Canterbury College. Efforts are being made to get a representative Dunedin High School team to meet the Te Aute fifteen at Christchurch, but nothing definite in this matter has yet been decided, and negotiations arg still pending. After playing two matches at Christchurch the College team will journey to Wellington, where two matches for them will probably be arranged. The team will join the Hawke's Bay representatives (who play Wellington next month) at Wellington, and will then travel with them to the Wairsrapa, where a representative fifteen will be met. The Te Aute College team is a very strong car. and should give a very good account of iteeli in the southern matches.—Telegrsph.l
