The Union Compiny’a steamer Southern Cross arrived in the roadstead shortly after 6 last evening, from Auckland via East Coast ports. The Union Company’s steamer Australia, from Wellington and Napier, arrived here yesterday morning, bringing—Messrs Rbiud, Gibbs, Hollow, Wug, Grady, Morrow, Enghutcry, and Casella (3). The Union Company's eteamer Ohau arrived from Dunedin via way ports yesterday morning. DEPARTURES. The Southern Cross left for Napier and Wellington lata last night, taking —Messrs Williamson, Moore, Madigan, C-oneen, M. Maher, Morgan, Tyson, Heeny, Samuel, and one native. The Australia steamed on North yesterday morning, taking—Mr and Mrs Gaskill, Mrs Houlden, Mr and Mrs Turloley and family (6), and Master Dodgshun. IMPORTS. Per Australia—s drums. G keg-, F. Per Ohm—3 cases, Townley; 1 case, Clothing Factory ; 3 crates, 50 sacks flour, 80 | sacks flour, 20 | sacks flour,. 3 kegs, 5 sacks, 1 case, Williams and Kettle; 1 sack seed, Common, Shelton and?Co; 60 sacks potatoes, 1 case, Dunlop and Bourke; 1 horse (Criminal), Hepburn. EXPORTS. Per Australia—s 9 hides, L and M.A. Co ; 36 hides, Williams and Kettle. TELEGRAPHIC. Auckland, Thursday. Arrived—B.M.S. Alameda, from Honolulu, wi’h Frisco mail. Mr Harry Taylor, formerly of the Wairaraps, now occupies the same position in the Talone. The ketch Comet has had a very rough time of it lately. She left Napier on May 81at. for Dunedin, and met with a succession of southerly gales, during which the vessel sustained considerable damage, which ocmpened her to put bsok far repairs. The Union Company’s steamer|Manapouri leaves Wellington thia evening, and calls in at Napier to-morrow, arriving here at daylight on Monday morning. She proceeds on to Auckland aud Sydney at 8. The schooner Opotiki left Napier for this port on Wednesday, end isSn&w’Mtie here. The steamer Waihora, which arrived in Wellington on Thursday, brought one pas■enger tor Gisborne—Mr Hird. The topsail schooner Awaroa and tha schooner Waiwera loaded at Mercury Bay, and are waiting & favorable breeze to sail for Gisborne. The passengers who leave by the Talune are—Messrs J. A. Harding, Adeane, Cuff, Turner, Davis, Dunk, Wyllie, Hyndman, Tiffen, Gibbs, W. F. Crawford, Badley, and Niccol. The Manapouri takes as passengers— Mesera Branson, N. Wyllie, Heeney, and A. Karaitiana.
