Shop Hours Bill.
[special to the STANDABD.J Wellington, last night. A deputation of members interviewed Sir George Grey this morning, and urged, on behalf of shop assistants, that the proposal to allow a shop employer to work his own family after closing hours is objectionable for various reasons. Sir George Grey promised to consider this view of the case, which will conflict to some extent with petitions presented by himself on behalf of suburban shopkeeper
