HIGH WATER—SUN RISES AND SETS

ARRIVALS. The Union Company’s steamer Manaponri came into port at 5 last evening, from Sydney, Russell, and Auckland, brining—Messrs Neill, Langford, P. Bourke, Matthews (3), Moore, Gordon, Garrett, Fox, Tye, Dawson, and Kertcsman. The coastal steamer Australia arrived from Auckland at 7 last night. DEPARTURES, The Manapouri steamed on South late last night. Passengers: Mesdumes Parker, Hardinge, Lambert and four children, Messrs Evans, Cunningham, Maher, Cubert and boy. The Australia left for Napier after discharging cargo last night. EXPORTS. Per Fanny—6o casks tallow, Williams and Kettle ; 5 casks tallow, 4 sacks wool, 1 bdl. skins, L.M.A.Co,; 6 casks pelts. VESSELS EXPECTED. Awanui, schooner, from Auckland Norwel, schooner, from Westport In consequence of the southerly gale that was blowing the last two days the schooner Waiwera has been unable to sail for Napier. The schooner Opotiki has been hauled up on the hard surface to undergo some slight repairs to her hull. Shortly after 5 last evening the steamer Botomahana left Wellington for North, and calling in at Napier to-day, she should reach here early on Sunday morning. The last launch conveying the outward passengers will leave at 8, the Botomahana eteaming on to Auckland and Russell shortly afterwards. The steamer Southern Cross left Wellington shortly after 1 o’clock on Wednesday afternoon, but owing to the heavy Southerly gale that was blowing she had to seek shelter tinder the Heads, On Thursday morning she resumed her voyage, and arrived in Napier yesterday. She left there again last evening, end is due in Gisborne early this morning. The Cross brings the Gisborne portion of the ■Frisco mall, which arrived in Auckland on Friday last. This is the last trip of the steamer on this coast, as she will be placed on the Fiji trade, the Dingadee taking up her running on the East Coast,
