Cook County Liberal Association.

At the meeting of the Cook County Liberal Association lasf night the Shop Hours Bill was brought up and discussed. There were several speakers, who thoroughly threshed out the Bill, Mr Whinray protesting against it as interfering with the liberty of the subject. The principal of the Bill was generally approved, although there was not complete unanimity regarding its details. A resolution to the effect that exemption should be restricted to chtmislt* shops and restaurants was earned.
