HIGH WATER—SUN RISES AND SETS

TELEGRAPHIC. Auckland, Tuesday. Arrived —Australia, at 8 last night, from Gisborne. Arrived—Taluue, at 230 p.m., from Sydney. Arrived—Te Anau, at 1215 p.m , from Gisborne. Wellington, Tuesday, Sailed—Coptic, at 4.15, for Napier, The steamer Obau, which left here on Tuesday morning, reached Tauranga at 5.20 yesterday afternoon. The steameri|OhanJarrived from South on Tuesday morning, and went on North after discharging cargo. There was a heavy sea running in the bay yesterday, and two vesssels were taking shelter under Nicks Head. One boat is supposed to be the Opotiki, and the other vessel will no doubt tarn out to be tho Norval, schooner, from Greymonth, with coals for the Gas Company. Captain Skinner’s schooner Awanui was discharging cargo at Tologa Bay on Tuesday, and was to have left for this port same evening. She is now no doubt detained by the heavy sea that sprung up during Tuesday night. The steamer Taluue leaves Auckland between 12 and 1 to-morrow, and is due here about the same hour next day. The outward passengets are announced to leave the wharf at 5. The Dingadee steams for Tologa Bay, Tuparoa, Hicks Bay, and Auckland at 7 tomorrow morning. The Tslune has been detained in Auckland, and will not leave that port till to-morrow, so that the only opportunity the footballers have of reaching Napier is by the Australia, which is due in Gisborne to night. But it is doubtful whether the steamer can get here in good time as she will have to encounter the very heavy tea that is running on the Coast.
