The Bankruptcy Court opened at 10 yesterday morning, before His Honor Mr Justice Conolly. At the Police Court yesterday morning Ronga Eruera and Kauria to Puka, two young natives, were charged on the information of Constable Reddell with having on Wednesday the sth inst stolen one pig, of the value of 355, the property of Peter Livingstone, of Te Aral. The accused, for whom Mr Lincoln Bees appeared, pleaded not guilty. After the evidence had been taken Mr Booth dismissed the charge, on the ground there was not suffijient evidence to connect the accused with the charge, and that there was some doubt as to whether the accused held the belief that the pig was a (trild one.
