HIGH WATER—BUN RISES AND SETS
ARRIVALS. The steamer Tarawera came into port shortly after noon yesterday, from Russell and Auckland. Passengers : Messrs Clark, Bussell, and five steerage. The steamer Dingadee arrived from Auckland, via way ports, early yesterday morning, bringing Mr Gordon, and three steerage. The steamer Australis, from Wellington and Napier, arrived in the bay yesterday morning. Passengers: Miss Lysnar, Messrs Greenfield, Myers, Carlile, Saunders, Allen, Fisher, Lunk, Morgan, Knrene, Oxenham, and Orange. DEPARTURES. The Australia steamed on north at 9 a.m.> yesterday, taking—Constable Pardy and two prisoners, and one Maori. The steamer Dingadee went on South at 11 yesterday morning, taking—Detective Grace and two prisoners, Messrs Bruce, Miller, Waatea, and Marshall. The Tarawers left for South at 6 last bight, taking—Mrs Drummond, Misses Rafters, Perter, Drummond, and Evans, Messrs Priestley, Meek, Hanna, Ross, and Luke.
IMPORTS. Per Tarawera —7 cases fruit, 1 sack oysters, Budd; 3 pkgs harrows, Williams and Kettle; 1 pkg, Clayton and Sawyer; 2 pkgs, Burns and Co ; 18 pkgs hardware, Common, Shelton and Co. Per Dingadee—2o bags lime, 1 case, 22 bdls mouldings, Kennedy and Evans; 11 oases, Common, Shelton and Co.; 4 pkgs, 1 pci, 1 crate, Adair; 1 case, Whitby and Partington ; 1 sack oysters, Mrs Shaw; 4 cases, Dunlop and Bourke; 1 cask, Lewis; 1 pci, Colebrook ; 1 case, Maguire and Co.; 16 pkgs. 16 lengths pipe, Burns and Co. Per Australia—l 7 boxes candles, Adair ; 15 boxes, 1 cask, Maguire and Co.; 1 esse, 10 kegs, Williams and Kettle; 10 bdls iron, 2 pkgs, Burns and Co.; 1 case, 1 bdl, Dunlop and Bourke; 3 cases, 1 keg, 30 pkgs, Clayton and Sawyer; 11 cases, 25 sacks bonedust, 8 pkgs, Common, Shelton and Co.; 1 truss, 5 trunks, 1 case, Kennedy and Eyjsns ; 25 pkgs, Hall and Ormond ; 2 pkg< ; Uumphreya; 2 casks, Corrigan. EXPORTS. Per Dingadee—so sacks grass seed. Per Australia—ls hides, Williams and Kettle. The schooner Awanui will be ready to sail for coast ports and Auckland to-day. The schooner Norval sailed in ballast at 2 yesterday afternoon, for Napier. The cutter Mana sails for Napier to day, with a load of scrap iron, and loads again for Gisborne. The schooner Gisborne sails for Dunedin to-day, with a load of grass seed for Common, Shelton and Co. Last evening the steamer Wairarapa left Wellington. She calls in at Napier this afternoon, arriving here early on Sunday morning. She proceeds on to Auckland, Russell, and Sydney at 8. The Dingadee took the tender Snark in tow yesterday morning. At Napier the launch will be placed on the slip to undergo an overhaul. During her absence from this port the Noko will tender the Union Company’s steamers for mails and cargo.
