ARRIVALS. The steamer Australia, from Auckland, via way ports, arrived in the bay on Thursday afternoon at 4 o’clock, bringing— Miss Mitchell, Mr Black, and one native. DEPASTURES, The Australia steamed on to Napier and Wellington at 6 last evening, taking—Mrs Clark and two children, Messrs Sellers (2), Toman, Mclntyre, Morgan, Hatton, Clayton, Henderson, Bnddley, and Myers, IMPOSTS Per Australia—2B bags sugar, 4 pkgs, 1 case, Dunlop and Bourke; 52 bags sugar, 10 erates bananas, 2 cases, Adair; 1 case, 1 truss, 168 bags sugar, 1 sack, 1 cask, Williams and Kettle; 80 bags sugar, 40 bags Hour, L, and M.A. Co.; 3 cases tea, 2 cases, I pel, 3 pkgs, 8 dcors, Kennedy and Evans; 1 box, 1 case, 1 pkg, F. Auckland, Friday, Sailed—Te Anau, at 1.80 p.m., for Gisborne. _ Yesterday afternoon the steamer Te A nan, from Sydney, via Auckland, left the latter port for South. She arrives here about 2 o’clock this afternoon, proceeding on to Napier at 5. The mail steamer Bimutaka left Wellington at 5.30 p.m., on Wednesday, and arrived off the Heads at Port Chalmers at 9 the following morning. She was berthed at the wharf at 2 o’clock same
The topsail schooner Marmion (Captain Bae) arrived in the bay on Thursday night, from Auckland via Tairau. She bad a fine weather passage along the coast; the trip from the latter port occupying 30 hours. She brings 78,000 feet timber consigned to Kennedy and Evans. The locally-owned ketch Venns has changed hands. Mr F. Hall on Thursday last completed the purchase of that smart little coasting trader, and he intends to keep her in the same trade, between Auckland, Gisborne, and Napier. Captain Ware is still in command, and the vessel is now north of Auckland, discharging a cargo from Napier. The steamer Dingadee leaves for coast ports and Auckland at 8 o’clock thia mornfag.
