Gisborne Rowing Club.
The annual general meeting of the Gisborne Rowing Club was held last evening a) the Masonic Hotel. Mr Lunn (Captain) occupied j the oh-i». There were 31 members present, A vary sstisfaotory report and balance-sheet was presented, which showed the Club to be in a sound financial position. The reoeipts for the past season amounted to £203 61 83, and the expenditure £205 0s 3d, leaving a balance to debit of £ll3s 7d. The liabilities are £77 6s 6d, and the assets £403 16s sd| leaving a balance to credit of £326 9s lid. The following officers were elected for tbg ensuing season;—President, Mr Dougherty ; Vice-president, Mr J.'Harding ; Captain, Mr W. Miller; Treasurer, Mr Colbourns ; Secretary, Mr Parker; Committea, Messrs Lunn, Green, Hennessey, Cosgrove, Soman, Clayton, Auditors, Messrs Johnstone and Fostcj. Nine new active members and one hrnorary member were elected. It was deaided that tbe colours of tbe Club be blaok snd ■old. and the rowing dress consist of blaok and gold (hoop) jersey, tbe letters G. 8.0. in gold on the bresat. on a blaok back grqund, and t black oap with gold trimmings, and wWtt trousers. A vote of tbauks to Mr Wilkinson and the members of the gymnasium who so generously assisted in making the carnival a success, and a vote of thanks was also passed to the retiring captain, Mr Lnnn. It was decided to name tbe new four o&rs Turehau and Pouawa, and the single sculls Waipaoa, and Te Aral, and that the Minerva, Petrola, and Lurline be rechristened Waikohu, Waiomoko, and Waiapn. The meeting recommended that the Committee appoint Mr Ratcliffe eoaoh to the Club.
