HIGH WATER—SUN RISES AND SETS
ARRIVALS. The steamer Australia, from Wellington and Napier, arrived here on Saturday morning, bringing- Mesdames Lees and Hardinge, Miss Taylor, Messrs Hyndman, Faits, Price, Cato, Innes, Hamon, Chatterton, Gray, Wbinray, Kirkpatrick, Master Brewer, Captain Turner, and Rev. Mr Sinclair. The steamer Tarawera arrived in the roadstead yesterday morning, from Melborne via South. Passengers: Mesdamesßach, Brown, Barton and family, Misses Adams (2), Reed, Russell, Thompson, Barry, Thomas, and Tberburn ; Messrs Barton, Devery, Ross, Cumming, Whittaker, O'Driscoll (2), and five steerage. DEPARTURES. The Australia steamed North on Saturday, taking—Messrs Crawford, Chrisp, and Yellands. The Tarawera left for Auckland, Russell, and Sydney at 10.30 yesterday morning. Passengers: Mr and Mrs Nolan, nurse, and one child, Mrs Joyce, Miss McKee, and Master Tobias. Per Australia—2l eases, 1 tank, 1 bale. 8 octaves, 7 casks, 16 pkgs, Common, Rh Iton and Co,; 1 pkg. Borne and Co. ; 12 pkgs, Magnire and Co. ; 1 pkg, Lewis; 1 pkg. Pet'ie and Harper ; 5 pkgs, Kennedy and Evans; 12 pkgs, Dunlop and Bourke; Ipkg, Morgan ; 15 pkgs, Williams and Kettle. k EXPORTS. Per 'Australia—23 sacks grass seed, Commo* Shelton and Co.; 35 kegs beef. The schooner Gisborne came into port JSstsrday morning, finm Dunedin. The schooner Waiapu and cu'ter Mana ere both lying wlndbound in the bay.
